The classic CZ 75 B is the most popular 9mm pistol design and many say the most copied 9mm in the world today. Others told me it was one of the best all steel 9mms they shot. I've reviewed the single action CZ 75 B model here in the past and they were right about it. But what about the smaller version, the CZ 75 Compact 9mm pistol. Is it good and even better for concealed carry? Well, I'll have to find out for myself and the readers. When CZ put me in touch with someone, all settings were "go" for me. I need to analyse, test and evaluate for myself and you, the readers.

A very important and unique feature for the Compact 75 and 75B is that the slide mounts inside the frame rails instead of outside. CZ-USA claims this is for better recoil control. I first noticed that it offers a good slide-to-frame fit and a very effective barrel lock, which contributes to its accuracy and recoil control. The slide is shorter in frame than most double-action rifles, resulting in less effort to raise the muzzle or return for more control.
I wish you could carry a CZ 75 compact with a lighter single action and lock, hammer and safety in position 1 like my 1911s. . Those untrained in 1911s or those who prefer this condition should remove the safety before firing.
To start this review, I'd like to give you 75 little specs and features. Next, I'll give my specific questions, then compare each brand in terms of gun characteristics and features, and finally show you the results of my live-fire testing to analyze and compare your standards and features you want. You can add or remove my recipes to meet your needs and preferences. Please know that I am not on the CZ-USA bill, they did not pay for my review, and I was in no way influenced by them to say certain things about the gun. I want to be honest and straight forward with my ideas and suggestions on how to look at firearms to help people. Especially this CZ 75 Compact 9mm, I'd like to know how accurate this little gun is? How reliable is concealed carry? Is the trigger smooth and short in single action mode and what about double action? Is the external safety, slide stop and/or mag release easy to access, operate and does it release mags freely? What are its advantages and disadvantages? Would I recommend this CZ 75 Compact for concealed carry and/or home defense?
Alabama Holster is a great Silverhill, Alabama holster company that makes every one of their holsters by hand. Owner Greg and his exceptional team take pride in every product they make and offer a 30-day return policy on all holsters. They are a great group of military and competition shooters who know what makes a great holster. Their Flapjack Over-the-Waist (OWB) Holster is a time-tested pancake holster that works for concealment and off-the-waist carry. Wrap the long Kytex holster up and pull the gun close to the body, and it's very accurate. They remove excess material, leaving only what is needed to make the holster strong and functional, with small footprint portability. It opens for one-handed locking and with a built-in stop, the gun is locked tight. It also has a small (semi) sweat shield.

Here are 10 criteria and factors I use to evaluate any handgun, so I will apply them to the Compact 75. In addition to my criteria, there are other unique features that some may be interested in, such as sharp corners, ambi. Mag release, action, caliber, appearance, number of mags available, sights/volumes, condition like condition, rail, angle grip, accessories like holster and bag, customer service etc. So, I added these as my last miscellaneous brand. . I have to admit that all gun selection decisions involve trade-offs, but I want all of my criteria to be met. I assigned a total of 10 points to each of my 10 criteria for a total possible score of 100 points. Of course you can add more questions and your preferences or delete any of mine.
Ultimately, you make your own business based on your personal goals, priorities, preferences, needs, and use, but you should take a holistic system perspective and realize that there are many common features, characteristics, and pros and cons, and add them up. .
Thanks to Sig Sawyer for providing some ammunition for my testing and evaluation of the 75 Compact. I sell their top quality 9mm ammo:
Ammo is reliable, works well, and I've had no glitches or lags. I am very pleased with the performance of the Premium Sig V-Crown and Elite ammo. My favorite is the 124 grain JHP with 443 ft-lbs. I really like the overall ergonomics of this gun. The gun feels good in my average hands, is comfortable, and the polymer grips are perfect for me. Not a very aggressive system. If your hand size and personal preference require it, you may want to consider switching from standard polymer grips to some custom grips. Until you get more time with the gun, this is the only change I would recommend in the beginning. But I'm excited to see how the scenarios play out.

This 75 compact pistol does not have an ambidextrous manual safety or an ambidextrous magazine release. I prefer single action trigger presses because of the inherent accuracy and reduced carryover benefit of lighter pressure. I found the slide very easy to move and the recoil and muzzle rise very controllable. The stainless steel slide and frame really help with accuracy, but judge the shipping business for yourself. Also, the beavertail allows me to hold the gun higher for better control. I prefer a very narrow base. The included 2 mags are metal and hold 15 rounds each, plenty for self defense with an extra mag. It doesn't have a companion rail, but I love the rounded lines and the softness without it. Below, I'll go into more detail on my thoughts for each of the evaluation factors in my questions after testing the size of the 75 compact pistol.
After I first cleaned the gun, I decided to shoot at my previous two test ranges, 7 and 10 meters, using the stock key. My first 30 rounds (with mag change), shot fast at 7 yards and 10 yards with this little 75 and Chick Elite Ball FMJ. Mr. who was visually impaired. 2.50" side reach for Magoo. But draw yourself to make your own decisions based on your skills, goals, characteristics, fullness and scope. You'll be surprised how accurate it is. Below are my hits for the Compact 75 at 10 yards.
08 scope test reviews for the compact CZ 75 9mm for each of my 10 questions
The Compact 75's accuracy is excellent, with its 3.75″ barrel, excellent ergonomics and weight at defensive distances of 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 yards. Its heavy weight, beavertail, grip, low recoil and good recoil greatly aid its accuracy. I was very happy to shoot it. I would like to shoot over 200 rounds of this gun before deciding to use it for home or personal defense. I love the smooth and bright trigger. A well-made stainless steel slide and barrel feel good and contribute to accuracy. When I shoot the rifle, I use a modified-isocells stand and a two-handed grip.
