Best Glock For Everyday Carry - We take a look at some of Glock's top contenders for being your next concealed carry pistol. What makes them different and which one suits you best?
If you've already decided on a Glock, congratulations! You will join the ranks of millions of defensive shooters around the world. Glock not only makes some of the most popular service pistols in the world, they also offer some great options for civilian personal protection.
Best Glock For Everyday Carry
Glock has a well-deserved reputation for making some of the most reliable (and affordable) handguns on the planet. These rugged firearms are made from Polymer 2, a high-strength nylon-based polymer invented by Gaston Glock himself. Engineered for greater durability, this lightweight plastic is tougher than most steel alloys. Polymer 2 resistant to corrosion, moisture, extreme temperatures and impact.

Glock also designs its popular semi-automatic pistols with fewer parts than other designs. Most other pistols have twice as many components as the standard Glock. That means Glock has fewer parts to break or fail, adding another level of reliability.
The simple design and durable materials make Glock pistols virtually foolproof. Without special maintenance, Glock pistols can survive the habits of the most diligent gun owners. Even if they are wet, dirty or neglected, they work reliably.
Right off the bat, we think it's always a best practice to actually step out and shoot whatever gun you choose to carry. No words on the internet can replace the feel of the gun in your hand during the line of fire. It can also make sense to grab a holster and "try the gun out."
However, if you value capacity and can carry it comfortably, there are tons of American shooters who rely on the Glock 19 for concealed carry. It's a fantastic choice for concealed carry.

If you don't want something that big and don't mind sacrificing capacity? We recommend the Glock 43. Read on if you want to learn more about Glock's best concealed carry options and the differences.
Glocks come in a variety of models, and some are definitely better concealed than others. If you're new to the world of Glocks, it can take some effort to cut through the noise to find their best-concealed models. Don't worry. We are here to help.
We've highlighted some of Glock's best concealed carry deals so you can find the model that's best for you. There is definitely no one-size-fits-all CCW. Ultimately, it's up to you to determine what you're proficient in photographing and what best suits your carrying style. However, we sincerely believe this list will help you find your dream CCW Glock.
While the G19 is a little overpowered in the world of concealed carry pistols, there are solid reasons this is the most popular CCW sidearm on the market today. The G19 is a reliable, well-rounded pistol. It has an ergonomic design and enough substance for easy handling, even for inexperienced shooters. It's slightly smaller (and more concealable) than Glock's full-size sidearm (the Glock 17), but large enough to minimize recoil and muzzle lift for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.

Compared to the G17, the G19 offers only two rounds. With a capacity of 15 plus one round, the double-stack G19 holds an above average round count (as far as concealed carry weapons go). And in a self-defense situation, every single round counts, especially since changing magazines can be problematic for occasional shooters, especially in adrenaline-charged shooting situations.
The double-stack design (which offers the roundest capacity) can also be a potential downside. Because the G19 holds its cartridges in two hidden slots, it has a rather chunky grip. This wide width can be difficult for some wearers to hide, especially under tight-fitting clothing or sheer materials.
However, the almost insane popularity of the Glock 19 has spawned a large number of holsters and accessories for this gun. There is no shortage of holster choices for this model, some of them have been specifically designed to minimize printing.
For their Model 26, Glock basically took all the features of the G19 and reduced it to the size and weight of a small snub-nosed revolver. Its ultra-compact size makes the G26 (dubbed the "Baby Glock") much easier to conceal.

However, obfuscation is only part of the CCW equation. After all, you need a gun that allows you to shoot accurately. The real work takes place after leaving your weapon hidden to face a dangerous threat. And the lighter weight, shorter sight radius, and limited grip make the G26 a little harder to shoot accurately. On self-defense ranges, however, most shooters shouldn't notice much of a difference.
The internet is full of "experts" claiming that this gun is the perfect size for little hands. Don't listen to her. Small hands don't need a small weapon. In fact, smaller shooters (who, logically, also have small hands) often shoot significantly better with a larger gun. Small handguns tend to have a bumpy recoil that can be difficult for shooters with small hands to tame. A gun with a little more grip room will feel more stable in your hand, even if that hand is loose.
That being said, if you have big, round palms, you're going to have a hard time fitting all of your fingers onto this grip. Fortunately, there are some fantastic grip extenders on the market that basically solve the problem.
If you thought the G26 was small, the Glock 43 is even tinier. This model definitely pushes the limits of size while still managing to retain most of the Glock's practical shootability.

The G43's grip doesn't have much surface area, which can cause some problems when you get a tight grip on the weapon through successive shots. Glock addressed the problem by adding a built-in beaver tail that helps you maintain a high and firm grip. The grip surface is also given an aggressive texture to prevent the gun from slipping in your hands, even if your palms are sweaty.
Not only does the G43 have limited grip space, it also has a shorter barrel and weighs a whopping 20.64 ounces fully loaded. Every time you reduce a weapon's size and weight, you also reduce its handling. Shooters should expect wilder recoil, and the shorter sight radius will certainly impact accuracy, especially at longer ranges.
At just over an inch wide, the single-stack G43 has one of the narrowest profiles on the market. When you need a gun that will disappear under just about anything in your closet, this is it.
If you want even smaller than the G43, the Glock 42 is the smallest Glock on the block. It has a slim, single-stack profile that makes this weapon perfect for deep stealth. This baby is less than an inch thick and weighs less than a pound, even with a full magazine!

While the G42 pocket pistol magically disappears, it has all the usual flaws of a mouse pistol. Its small dimensions make it almost impossible to hold it securely, even with average-sized hands. The good news is that it has virtually no recoil thanks to its .380 auto chambering.
Honestly, for a micro pistol, this one shoots surprisingly well. Just don't expect it to shoot as well as the Glock 19. This isn't a precision pistol and you won't be shooting 50-yard shots.
As previously mentioned, the G42 shoots .380 auto, which is not typically a defensive shooter's first choice. And since this model only holds six plus one rounds, it's a better backup weapon than an EDC gun.
If you want to stand out from the crowd and are attracted to the new .357 Sig, there's a Glock Concealed Carry for you too. The compact G32 has the same dimensions as the G19, except it's chambered for .357 Sig. Place these two pistols side by side and you'd have to look pretty closely to tell they're apart.
