Best Glock For Small Hands - The gun world seems to have a love-hate relationship with Glock pistols. Some people love these polymer frame guns, some people hate them. One thing is undeniable, these guns are here to stay.
Glocks are becoming increasingly popular for concealed carry. The "safe action" design of these pistols means you don't have to think too hard in a self-defense scenario. Basically, you just point and click. The Glock's simplicity of design and reliability are the reasons many law enforcement agencies choose this rifle as their service pistol. Add in the fact that they are ambidextrous thanks to the reversible magazine catch and you have a versatile firearm.
Best Glock For Small Hands
Let's start with perhaps the most popular Glock, the G19. I own the Gen 4 model of this pistol and know many others who also use this 9mm as a self defense firearm. Glock calls it a compact on its website, although most gun experts agree it falls between full-size and ultra-compact firearms, with an overall length of 7.28 inches. The lure of the fish is a little "gritty" as some shooters say, but you can easily change it to improve it.
Introducing The Model 30: Glock's Most Powerful And Compact Handgun
The Gen 3 version is slightly longer at 7.36 inches. All models have a 4.02 inch barrel for good accuracy. It's a safe bet for the new gun owner.
The 19 is just over 30 ounces with a full magazine. With the right case, it's comfortable enough to carry around all day. The standard capacity magazine is a double stack containing 15 rounds. On the Gen 4 models, the Glock included three magazines. A nice touch as you don't have to immediately run out and buy more. Gen 4 and Gen 5 models have additional back straps to adjust to your hand.
Another variant of this gun is the Glock 19X, which was introduced just a few years ago. This model combines features from the increasingly popular Glock 17 and 19 to create what Glock calls a “crossover” pistol.
Another 9 mm, the main difference here is the 10-round smaller magazine capacity and the smaller overall frame. The 26 weighs about 25 ounces fully loaded. The Gen 5 version weighs slightly more, according to the Glock website. The barrel length is slightly shorter at 3.43 inches.
Glock 43x Mos Review (with Pictures)
The 26 is much more concealable than the 19, thanks to the 6.42-inch overall length of the Gen 4 and 5 models. Gen 3 is slightly longer again. Glock found a way to shave off the size of the new ones. The downside is the much shorter grip.
I have read complaints from shooters with larger hands who find it difficult to hold this gun with two fingers.
If you're like me, you might be on the fence between now and the 19th. You will see that there are many divided opinions in this discussion.
I ended up going with the 19 with a full size grip, but I recommend going to your local gun dealer to hold both in person. You'll probably know right away if this shorter handle is right for you.

Some people just don't like the 9mm self-defense round, and that's okay. This is why Glock made rifles like the G23 chambered in .40.
It is very similar in size to the G19. It has the same 4.02-inch barrel length and weighs about 30 ounces. Both rifles have the same width and the same overall length. In fact, gun owners have noticed more subtle similarities.
There are .40-9mm conversion barrels on the aftermarket, and most of them seem to be nothing more than a quick barrel swap from firing another round. Make of it what you will.
The G23's standard magazine holds twice as much as the 19, which is to be expected with a larger bullet. Most people are fine with the trade-off of extra stopping power provided by the .40.
Best Compact 9mm Pistol: The Perfect Ccws?
It is a weapon often used by law enforcement agencies. When I took my concealed carry class, the instructor called this Glock "the best semi-auto pistol ever," if you want a second opinion.
As expected, this pistol is very similar to the Glock 26. It has the same barrel length, the same slide and the same overall length and even width. The main difference is that this firearm fires a .40 Smith & Wesson instead of a 9mm. It packs a lot of firepower into a very compact package, making it ideal for concealed carry or home defense.
Most of the things I discussed about the 26 and grip size apply here. The big question to ask yourself is what trade-off are you willing to accept? The .40 ammunition provides more stopping power, but only has nine magazines as opposed to 12. You can still use the larger magazines with this pistol like all Glocks, but it will be less concealable. The short barrel combined with the larger screw makes precise handling somewhat difficult.
27's biggest advantage is that it is much more concealable than many full-size .40 pistols. If you're going to be a dedicated, everyday carry, don't underestimate the convenience of carry when making your handgun purchase decision.
Shadow Systems Mr920 Review: The Best Glock Clone For Your Money?
If .45 is the only caliber you're considering for self-defense, the G30 is worth a look. It weighs about 33 ounces with a full magazine and you get 10 rounds in a compact and concealable package. The overall length of this gun is only 6.97 inches with a 3.78 inch barrel. Not bad for a gun with that much firepower.
If you look at this gun, you may also see G30s. This weapon is a slimmed down version. Glock managed to shave about three ounces off the overall weight by making the slide much thinner while maintaining the 10 magazine capacity and barrel length.
This weight difference may not seem like much. It's hard to tell the difference until you look at the slide of both firearms from the rear, but every little bit of weight counts. This is especially true for the everyday carry gun.
The G30s are a good choice for anyone interested in a slimmer profile and smoother concealment.

The .357 Sig is a little lesser known round that packs a real punch. Do not confuse this with the .357 Magnum as it is not the same round. Bullet size is closer to .40 S&W.
A good .357 Sig can be used in the Glock 32. This gun has a 4.02 inch barrel, weighs 30 ounces fully loaded, and has an overall length of 7.28 inches. It is therefore comparable in size to the Glock 19.
While this gun packs a lot of firepower, the downside is the unfamiliarity of the .357 Sig round. Depending on where you live, it may be difficult to find this frame in some stores. Glock only made a Gen 4 version of this pistol as well, so if you live in a state like California that bans Gen 4 firearms, you're out of luck.
It's worth noting that many law enforcement agencies still use the .357 Sig as their service firearms, so it's a proven round that professionals trust.

This rifle is also chambered in .357 Sig. However, the dimensions of this firearm are closer to the Glock 26. It has an overall length of just 6.42 inches and weighs only 25 ounces when fully charged. This has a short barrel of 3.43 inches. We're not surprised to hear that it packs a little punch as a result.
The normal capacity magazine holds nine cartridges. This is another gun that doesn't get talked about much, even among Glock fans. Also, this is another Gen 4 weapon.
We are not sure if Glock has decided to stop making .357 Sig pistols or if this is a model that will be re-released. We'll have to wait and see.
We don't think many people carry the 10mm Auto for self-defense, but that didn't stop them from creating the subcompact Glock Model G29. Since then we have heard of a few people carrying this gun in the backcountry as a lighter bear protection firearm. Whatever its use, this is a great weapon to add to your arsenal.

It may take some time to get used to such a powerful bombardment from a 3.78 inch barrel, but you can bet you have life for this round that will take down even the biggest threats.
At 32 ounces fully loaded, it's a bit heavier than some other Glocks. However, it was possible to squeeze a 10-round magazine into this small firearm.
This 9mm pistol is a new addition to the wide range of Glock pistols. The frame dimensions are very similar to the G19 with the same barrel length and only slightly longer overall length. The biggest difference here is
